Dr Berger, I have to say "Thank you"! We just hit the end of our first trimester in our successful tubal reversal pregnancy!

I know with the thousands of patients you have it's impossible to memorize every story, so I hope you don't mind if I share mine with you again.

In 1992 I had a tubal ligation after the birth of my second son (I was only 23 years old). On September 27, 2004, I had reversal surgery done by you when I was 38 years old. Today, my oldest son is in college (he is 19 years old), my youngest is 16 years old and a Junior in high school.

My husband and I just wanted to tell you what a complete miracle you have performed in our lives. Today marks 12 weeks for us - we are twelve weeks pregnant with our first successful tubal reversal pregnancy. (At my age it can be a little challenging). As you already know, this is an enormous milestone as our chances for miscarriage are now greatly reduced. On Monday we got to see our little "squishy" (as my husband likes to call him/her) jumping up and down in the womb. I can't tell you what a shock it was to see this 16 years after our last son was delivered.

In June, 2007, you will be responsible for yet another new life which NEVER would have been possible without your kindness. Our son/daughter will be told from day one - his/her life exists solely because of your work. Without reaching out to excel in your chosen profession, this child and many others would never be here.

Thank you so much. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for making it possible to expand our small family. Please - continue your work. Families everywhere deserve this chance.
