To begin my name is Pamela B. and I had a tubal ligation reversal on December 16, 1999. Dr. Berger and his staff performed my reversal with ease. Upon returning home my finance and I immediately began on our new family. By January 17 2000, we were to find out that we would be proud parents. I must say with this excitement also came some sadness. At 7 weeks I learned that I had a blighted ovum which caused me to have a miscarriage. A blighted ovum is a fertilized egg that develops into a gestational sac, but no embryo is formed. The cause may be chromosomal or due to the quality of the egg or fertilizing sperm itself. I was truly devastated. I had two children previously with no problems.

With an extremely good support group we stated that we would try again. Within 3 months to the date May 8, 2000, we were pregnant again. I am currently 51/2 months pregnant with a baby girl and we are all well. I just wanted to take time out to say thank you for your kindness and confidence in before, during, and after my surgery. It was truly a blessing to be in such capable hands.
