Hi Julia,

I hope you are doing well! I wanted to let you know that we are finally pregnant. Last Monday my beta was 1,601 and my progesterone was 21 (cd33, 18dpo or 4w4d). Today mybeta was 25,378 and my progesterone was 20.5 at 5w4d. I am on supplemental progesterone suppositories.

We had an u/s last Thursday and saw what looked like a gestational sac in the uterus. I think the doctor told my dh that the sac measured 9mm. I have been a little worried because we didn't see the yolk sac last Thursday. I should have been 5 weeks last Thursday at the u/s, since my last menstrual period was 2/28/02. Do ya'll usually see the yolk sac at that stage? Can you tell anything about whether it could be a blighted ovum by the beta number? We are having another u/s this Thursday at 6 weeks and praying that we see more this time.

Thanks so much for all your support. My RE said last Thursday that as soon as I knew that this pregnancy was ok, we needed to call Dr. Berger. I did send him an e-mail last week to update him. I will be so happy if I get to post a success story on your website.

My u/s went very well!! We are so excited. We got to see the yolk sac and the baby measured 6 weeks 1 day and I am 6 weeks today. So, we are right on track. The first u/s machine was broken and had lots of noise or interference, so she tried and tried to see what was inside the gestational sac, but was having a very hard time due to the noise on the screen. This made Alan and I a little nervous. She had me go down the hall in my little sheet quickly to another room to use another u/s. It worked much better. We got to see the little one!!!!

We are so thankful for this miracle!!! I have a picture I have scanned in. The baby is in between the cursors she has marked for measuring. We are praying that we will see a heartbeat next week at the 7 week u/s. Thanks again to both of you for all you have done for us to make this dream come true!!!! I'll never be able to thank you enough!!!!!
