Dear Dr. Berger,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything you've done for my husband and me. There are no words to describe how I feel right now. I remember finding your web site before this whole adventure began and thinking it sounded too good to be true. After doing more research, talking to the staff at CHFC, and putting it in our prayers, we made the decision to take the leap of faith. I had my tubal reversal on 7/9/02. I'm still amazed how fast and fairly easy the recovery was.

Only 3 1/2 months after my tubal reversal, I found out I was pregnant! I couldn't believe it had worked so quickly. My husband and I had made it past the first hurdle and we knew we had to make it past the second- making sure the pregnancy was in the uterus. I felt so lucky that I had achieved a pregnancy, could I be lucky enough again to have it where it was supposed to be?

When I was in the middle of my 5th week of pregnancy, we went for an ultrasound. My husband tells me that he'll never forget the look that came over my face when they told us they could see the sac in the uterus. It was a rush of relief and complete joy. My husband and I both held each other and wept. It was a moment that I will never forget. Our dream which was an impossibility, had now become our reality.

Never in a million years would I have thought that we would be sharing a baby together. My tubal ligation which had occurred over a decade ago, was just a fact that my husband and I both accepted. We knew it was a long shot if we ever did have the opportunity for a tubal reversal someday. Because of the outrageous prices of this surgery at other places, I figured it was something we probably would never do. It is because of you, Dr. Berger, that we are where we are today. You made the surgery so easy and so affordable that we couldn't pass the opportunity to at least try. I'm almost 8 weeks along today. I cannot thank you enough for all you did.
