Subject: Our baby is here!
Dear Dr. Berger:

This is a very special "thank you" for you from the family. We wanted to let you know that our beautiful and precious baby girl, Angelica Rose, was born September 25th at 10:41 P.M. She was just 1 hour and 19 minutes shy of 37 weeks. She was 5 pounds 8 ounces and 19 inches long. Although small, she is perfectly happy and healthy. Labor lasted 11 hours and 11 minutes, but wasn't too terribly bad (thanks to an epidural and also a pudendal block...good drugs, for both of them. Can't imagine going thru this without!).

The doctor said that it was a good thing she came now, as if she had been any larger it would have been necessary to deliver her by C-section, since she would not have fit through the pelvis. If it had not been for you, this miracle would not have been possible.

We will send you apicture as soon as it is developed. She is absolutely beautiful! Everyone says she looks like her mother (but I know that must be untrue, as I don't think I was ever this precious!). Sincerely, and with most deeply felt gratitude,
