My husband and I would like to take a minute to thank Dr. Berger for making our dreams come true again, when we gave birth to a long awaited jewel in our life, Maggie Elizabeth.
My name is Grace and my husband is David, and we had our tr on June 18th, 2002. We got pregnant 5 months later with a boy, but we lost him on April 8th, 2003. I was at 7 months when we lost him due to a bladder obstruction. It was a fluke thing. Then after an IVF attempt was unsuccessful, we were giving up and were on our way to Romania for an adoption, but then we found out we were pregnant. It was 5 months since we had lost our son until we got pregnant, and I had been told that one of my tubes was blocked.
We had a tough pregnancy this time. At 31 weeks I started having contractions, but the doctor stopped them, and at 33 weeks I started having contractions again. This time they were 3 to 4 minutes apart, so they admitted me and put me on a magnesium drip to try to get me to 35 weeks. Then, on Mother's Day of this year, as they were reducing my drip, I went into full labor and at 10:43 pm I gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, Maggie Elizabeth, at 35 weeks and weighing 6 pounds 4 ounces.
We really want to truly thank Dr. Berger and his staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center for making our life complete now. They are truly god sends for couples who need a second chance after making a decision in their lives earlier and have decided they want more children. Here is a picture of our baby girl. We will send more pictures later.
