Our journey began in 2001. My husband and I decided we wanted to have a child together. My husband never having any made me want to give him that gift even more. Unfortunately, I had my tubes tied when my son was 3 years old. I knew of tubal reversals, being my cousin had it done, so I started research on the computer and up popped Dr. Berger's site. I was so impressed by the bio he gave and the research he did over in England I just knew this was the doctor for me to do this surgery.

On August 19th, 2002 we drove all the way from Orlando, Florida To Chapel Hill to have the surgery done by Dr. Berger on the 20th of August. The staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center were so nice and pleasant - you can tell they love their jobs. And I can see why with rewards like my story and knowing they had something to do with making a dream come true.

After my surgery it was a long journey. It took about 13 months to conceive. At the time you don't think 13 month isn't really that long. We all just want it to happen right away. Patience and faith got me where I am today... it all happens in due time.

I am so grateful to Dr. Berger and his caring staff for this beautiful miracle, our son ELIJAH ALI.
