Tubal reversal baby Riley Shea Pavelek. Our experience with Dr. Berger and the whole Chapel Hill Staff was wonderful. I started checking into tubal reversal about 6 years ago, shortly after my second marriage. My current husband had no children. I already had two. From all of the research that I had done, I decided that Chapel Hill was the right place to go. I work in surgery myself and so I liked the fact that Dr. Berger uses local anesthetic at every tissue level, and uses very careful retraction of tissues. This all translates into a quicker recovery.

My tubes had been tied for 8 years. I had my surgery on June 18th, 2003. This was the first time I've ever had a surgery without nausea, and I went home the next day by airplane. Four months later I was pregnant, and May 27th, 2004 I delivered Riley Shea. She had to be delivered by emergency C-section (it had nothing to do with the tubal reversal), and during the surgery I heard my own doctors complimenting Dr. Berger's work!

I don't know how to thank you - she is a precious gift! Here is a picture taken 06/03/2004 right after we arrived from hospital.
