Early into my relationship with my husband I found out how important it was to him to have children of his own. Although he was a great “Dad” already to my 2 young boys I knew getting a reversal was something we would look into in our future. After a year of marriage we spoke so often of me getting a reversal. After researching online, we came across CHTRC. I was so afraid. We were looking for someone to do an operation on me….online!! I decided we should look and speak to local doctors. We were then referred to an Infertility Dr. Months then went on as we were just completely unsure of what to do. It would be twice as expensive to have the procedure done locally than it would to go with the “Dr” we had found online that specializes in TRs. Finally we made our decision, December 2006, we scheduled our TR with Dr. Gary Berger for January 8, 2007!!

January 8, 2007 came faster than we expected! We were all so excited yet nervous! Arriving with the other couples to CHTRC was nice, we were definitely not alone! The staff at the hotel, the driver, CHTRC staff and Dr. Gary Berger we amazing! All fears were completely gone and we felt comfort in knowing we did make the right decision!! Dr. B told us with our age, we were both 27 at the time of the TR, we should be pregnant within the first year of TR. Boy was he wrong! I’m sure I’m not the only one to say that; and not in a bad way! We got our first positive home pregnancy test just after one “cycle” after TR, yep, within the first month (Feb. 2007)!!! We were so excited! Although it ended in miscarriage (March 2007), I found comfort in knowing that “WE CAN GET PREGNANT!” The following month, we found out we got a gift from the Easter Bunny too, April 7, 2007 we got our 2nd positive home pregnancy test. Again it ended in miscarriage (end of April 2007), being I try my hardest to find the positive in all things, I dealt with another loss knowing BOTH TUBES ARE OPEN. It was time we took a break from our TTC bus and allow my body to heal from TR and 2 miscarriages.

In August of 2007 we decided it was time to start our TTC journey once again! After a few short months of TTC we found out we again were pregnant!! November 4, 2007 was our lucky day, we got our 3rd positive home pregnancy test!! Trying not to get too excited was probably the only problem I had at the beginning of our pregnancy! We saw our baby’s heart beat at 8 weeks and 2 days and there it was.

I had both clips and the triple burn procedure and Dr. Berger was still able to successfully reverse my tubal ligation. Dr. Berger, you and the staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center are wonderful. Everyone was so kind and helpful throughout our entire conception journey. I’ve never seen such caring staff at any medical facility. Looking back now, it’s nothing short of amazing! Then, as we tried for a year and a half to conceive, we found we could call upon your staff with our continued questions.

Our healthy baby girl, Ellen Kate, arrived October 29, 2008 and we are completely overjoyed. Thank you for giving our family a gift like no other…

We had our tubal reversal on November the 13th of 2007, and conceived our Berger Baby within two weeks of our tubal reversal. Lillian Grace was born on July 30, 2008. We never imagined all of our dreams would come true and we would conceive so quickly.

We want to express our gratitude to Dr. Berger and his staff for the wonderful treatment we received at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. Every one of you made sure we were comfortable, all of our questions were answered, and you all explained the pre-op and post op instructions very well. We even got follow up calls frequently to monitor our success. Without the expertise of Dr. Berger and his staff, Miss Lillian Grace would not be here today. We highly recommend Dr. Berger to anyone who is considering this procedure. He is truly the BEST!!!!

Dear Dr. Berger and staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center,

My husband and I wanted to write to you and thank you so much for everything you did to make our family more complete. By allowing us to give birth to a healthy baby boy, we will be forever grateful.

My husband and I wanted to have another baby, but didn’t know where to turn. Then I discovered you on the internet. The staff at Chapel Hill was very informative and helpful thru the whole process. The whole experience was wonderful, from the ride from the airport to the wonderful people at the hotel. Everyone at the clinic was great while we were there and the next morning after surgery everyone took really good care of my husband and me. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

We started trying about 7-8 months after we got home. I got pregnant soon after that. Unfortunately it was a tubal pregnancy and I lost it, but the great news is we got pregnant within a month. Everything went really well with the pregnancy and now we have a wonderful baby boy in our lives.

Every time I tell people I had a tubal reversal they just don’t know what to say. We live in a really small town and it’s just not heard of. I was my doctor’s first patient to have the procedure done. Now that people see it really works, I have them asking me all kinds of questions because they are considering it.

And as of June 24th 2008 we are the proud parents and siblings of Edward [Eddy] Allen Houston. Thank you again for everything you do and for making so many people’s dreams come true.
