Dear Dr. Berger:

Attached you will find a picture of our son, Sebastian Ethan. He was born 8/31/09 at 1330 hours. I wanted to tell you “thank you” for all your assistance in helping to create such a miracle for our family. My tubal reversal was completed on April 19th, 2006. In the two and a half years it took me to conceive and keep this pregnancy, I also lost three babies to tubal pregnancies, had my left fallopian tube removed, was told my right fallopian tube was blocked, and told by my OB/GYN and a fertility specialist that I would never have a normal pregnancy and was advised to remove my right tube.

With all their good intentions, I kept my faith and now have a wonderful child. Thank you for doing what you do. You will never be forgotten by our family.

Dr. Berger and staff,

I would like to thank you all for our beautiful baby girl!!! I’ve always wanted to have a houseful of little feet and due to some events in my life, I thought I would never achieve that goal. You’ve made that possible for me and it’s happening!

We are not trying to conceive right now, but we are not trying not to either. Due to breast feeding, my cycles are not regular, therefore making it difficult to know when I’m close to ovulating. I’m sure I could use OPK’s, but like I said, we are not “trying”… yet.

Dear Dr Berger,

My previous testimony (#693) told how we were able to conceive our 4th child, Kylee, thanks to your reversal procedure. I wanted to follow up and tell you how complete our lives have become since my surgery in June 2006.

At the birth of my 3rd daughter, the doctor recommended that I have my tubes tied because I had a very difficult delivery and a uterine abruption. I did so, not thinking that down the road I may regret that decision, or possibly want more children. My husband always wanted a boy, but seemed quite content with the three daughters that God had given us.

As I mentioned in my first testimony – we tried to adopt, but became frustrated with the process. I prayed and prayed that the desire to have more children would go away, or that God would see fit to bring another child into our lives.

One Sunday after church my husband said he had something to tell me. We had someone watch our kids and the two of us went to dinner alone. He told me that during the morning service God spoke to him and told him that we were going to have a son. I said that I was praying to that end as well. He got very serious and said.. “You don’t understand… God told me that WE are going to have a son… not adopt… we are going to have one ourselves.” I laughed so hard the table shook! “How exactly do you plan on doing that?” I said. “I don’t know – all I know is that God spoke to me, and I have something to back it up” – he replied. He pulled out his new Bible his mother had just given him for Christmas and showed it to me. I didn’t understand.. He told me to read the name embossed on the front… I read it… Robert Keith Hunter, III…then it hit me… the retailer made a mistake. My husband is the 2nd, not the 3rd. I couldn’t help but feel like maybe it was a sign, but still doubtful that it would be possible.

That same week I was doing research for a Master’s paper I was working on, and somehow (I’m still not sure how) ended up on the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center site. I read everything I could read and watched the videos. Within 2 hours I had called the Center, and set up my surgery date. I KNEW that God was ordering my footsteps and making a way for us to have the son we had been praying for.

My previous testimony outlined what transpired in those months immediately following my surgery. We became pregnant immediately and had our 4th beautiful daughter in April 2007. We immediately fell in love with her and she brought so much joy to our house.

But my story really just begins here. In March of 2008, just 11 months after the birth of our first “Berger baby”, I found out I was pregnant with our second “Berger baby”.

After 15 weeks of pregnancy, an ultrasound revealed that it was a BOY. I cried right there in the room. After all the prayers and seemingly insignificant decisions… EVERYTHING led to that moment when we found out that our God not only hears but answers prayers.

We delivered our son, Robert Keith Hunter, III “Trevin” a few weeks early, but happy and healthy, on October 20, 2008. He weighed 3lb, 12oz and he looks just like his father.

THANK YOU so much for allowing us to complete our family, and for allowing God to use you to show us that NOTHING is impossible. I will forever be in your debt for the service you provided, that allowed us to have not one, but two of our children.

You are an amazing man, and I truly believe that God has allowed you to be here at this time in history, to fulfill His special purpose, for this generation. You will probably never know the impact that you have had on the world, the country, your city and our family. May God bless you, and may you continue to offer hope to those who have given up hope. It was all worth it!

Lamentations 2:19 says Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children.

Dr. Berger,

I never go to the message board anymore, but think of you and your staff often. I was in your office at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center in June 2005 to have my tubes reversed after having the triple burn procedure in 2000. We tried for 9 months, which was my cut off line, before getting out BFP. We were nervous as to where the baby may be and if we’d carry to term. Well, we did!!

We gave birth to our Berger Baby, Shelby, in December 3, 2006. She is one of your poster children on your site. She is now two years old and much much joy. She’s talking and potty training now. The older kids are just overjoyed with her. We aren’t talking of anymore kids, but at least I can say I truly have a miracle.

We had our tubal reversal on November the 13th of 2007, and conceived our Berger Baby within two weeks of our tubal reversal. Lillian Grace was born on July 30, 2008. We never imagined all of our dreams would come true and we would conceive so quickly.

We want to express our gratitude to Dr. Berger and his staff for the wonderful treatment we received at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. Every one of you made sure we were comfortable, all of our questions were answered, and you all explained the pre-op and post op instructions very well. We were told by several doctors that in-vitro was the only option for us to conceive. We were fortunate to find Dr Berger’s tubal reversal website and felt reassured and excited after receiving the information package with the DVD. We had such a great experience with Dr Berger and his staff.

Starting with surgery day, we were treated with such great care both emotionally and physically. The staff continued to follow up with me and answer any questions I had even during my pregnancy. The entire process went so smoothly due to the experienced staff. Surgery couldn’t have gone any better. I felt great the very next day and ready to start the challenge ahead of us trying to conceive our tubal reversal baby. The message board gave us great support along the way from other couples who had or were going to have tubal reversal surgery.

One and a half years later, we are so blessed to announce the birth of our son, Peyton Charles. He was born on February 7th at 9:22 A.M., 6 lbs. 15 oz. and 21 inches.

We think back to just a short time ago when the thought of having another child was a dream. We couldn’t have truly completed our family without the skill and compassion of Dr. Berger and everyone at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. Dear Dr. Berger,

We made the decision to have my tubal ligation reversed after 6 years of trying to adopt. We already had three children, but decided that we wanted more. I had my surgery with Dr. Berger in June of 2006. The staff was wonderful to us and Dr. Berger made me feel comfortable and informed.

In August of 2006 I did not experience a menstrual cycle and wondered if maybe the surgery had thrown my schedule off. By the time September came around I realized that I was pregnant and must have become so about two weeks after my surgery with Dr. Berger. I delivered a beautiful baby, Kylee, on April 9, 2007, nine months after my reversal surgery.

Thank you so much for helping us to have our precious little baby. We are thinking of having our fifth child – our second “Berger Baby” and making our family complete.

God bless you for providing me a way to conceive naturally after my tubal ligation. You are truly a gifted surgeon and it was a blessing to find you.
