Dr. Berger,
I want to thank you! I gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Monday, July 13, 2009. He is a little small due to my APA syndrome and my OB decided to induce me at 37 weeks. I was given the 2 doses of steroids for his lungs just to be on the safe side. He weighed in at 4lbs. 11oz. and was 18 inches long. He didn’t have any problems and was able to room in with me and we both came home yesterday.
Thank you so much for all you have done for me. You are truly heaven sent, because without you I would never have met Ezekiel Moses on July 13th.
May God Bless You,
Margaret S.

Monday, May 4th, 2009 “Dr. Berger - My family wishes to send you unending thanks for our precious miracle.”
Posted May 5th, 2009
Dr. Berger,
My family wishes to send you unending thanks for our precious miracle! Miss Harper Bailey arrived on February 19, 2009 which just happens to be her Mommy’s birthday (best birthday present ever) and exactly three years after my tubal reversal. She is a perfect testimonial of why not to listen to the doctors who frown upon this surgery or don’t believe that it does work.
After my surgery in February of 2006, I made the follow-up appointment with my OB-GYN. The first thing he said when he walked in was that the reversal surgery just doesn’t work. He advised me to make an appointment to have both tubes removed and wanted to refer us to an invitro specialist. I refused. I found out I was pregnant in November 2006, but unfortunately the pregnancy was tubal. I had an HSG soon after that said my right tube was totally blocked. Despite more discouragement, we kept trying. I honestly had come to the point of excepting whatever God had in store for us was ok. Last summer, I had stopped hoping to get pregnant. I started feeling sick, but convinced myself that it was psychosomatic and decided not to take a test. My husband finally came home with a pregnancy test and begged me to take it. I did, but just through it aside and continued my other tasks. I walked by the test to scan it and throw it away. Amazingly – it was positive! Eight months later, God blessed me with my little birthday present!
Please let everyone know not to get discouraged. I had Harper despite a blocked tube, a tubal pregnancy, having Type I diabetes, turning 38 the day she was born and countless discouragement. My husband, her two big brothers, and especially her Mommy thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Monday, April 27th, 2009 “PTLS Relief and a New Baby – The problems started from the first month after I had my tubes tied. I am very pleased to say that within the 1st month after TR, I had my life back. I have also given birth to my 1st son, the baby I waited 9 years to have. Thank you, Dr. Berger!”

Dear Dr. Berger -
I scheduled my tubal reversal surgery after a 2 week long period. After series of tests that all came back normal, the only thing I could think that was wrong was the Tubal Ligation. The problems started from the first month after I had my tubes tied. I suffered for 7 long years. I am very pleased to say that within the 1st month after Tubal Reversal things went back to normal – no excessive bleeding, no pain, no exhaustion – I had my life back!
I have also given birth to my 1st son! His name is Charles Roan. Thank you, Dr. Berger and staff! It took a few tries but we did it and I’m so very grateful. You have made my life so much better, and we got the baby I waited 9 years to have. I’m so glad I chose you to perform the tubal surgery. It was a good choice, one that I can look back on and smile. You have certainly changed my life for the better. My husband also says thank you for helping him to have his first child! Thank you for doing what you do.

Friday, April 17th, 2009 “My 47th birthday was on April 4th and the best present I received was from you. Because of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center I was able to celebrate my 47th birthday with my 3 month old son.”
Posted April 17th, 2009
Dear Dr. Berger,
My 47th birthday was on April 4th and the best present I received was from you. Because of the work that you and your staff perform at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, I was able to celebrate my 47th birthday with my 3 month old son, Cole Alexander, who was born on January 6th of this year.
After my tubal ligation in March of 2004, I never thought I would feel the warmth of a small baby’s body on my chest, or kiss daily the fat rosy cheeks and toes of a newborn.
I had my tubal reversal performed on November 12, 2007 and seven months later, I was pregnant with my third child. Cole is a beautiful and healthy baby. While I had complications with my pregnancy, it was totally due to my own health issues and not my age. I had the same problems when I gave birth to my other two children at ages 29 and 41.
I would be honored to have you share my story. I was really inspired to have my tubal reversal even though I was 45 years old primarily because of the wonderful postings I read on your message boards. I read them on a daily basis before my procedure and continued to do so after my surgery. Your Center has the best website regarding this procedure, and more importantly about how women feel about the process, that I have seen.

I sincerely hope that my success story (giving birth 3 months before my 47th birthday) will be a source of inspiration to others. I hope that the women over 40 years old will read it and continue to have faith that miracle can still happen, even after 45.
Sincerely,
Dawne S.

Friday, February 6th, 2009 “I gave birth to my TR baby, Major, on November 20, 2007. Our family is complete and we are still so grateful to Dr. Berger.”
Posted February 6th, 2009
When my husband and I started to have our family, we were faced with many obstacles. After two miscarriages, we were fortunate to have our two daughters, Camryn and Riley, born less than one year apart. After two more miscarriages and a health crisis in the family, we decided to have my tubes “tied”. You forget how quickly the body and heart heal and very soon after the ligation, I regretted it. To make matters worse, I developed PTLS. Every period was agonizing. I started to do research online and found Dr. Berger.
On October 3, 2005, Dr. Berger performed my tubal reversal. We became pregnant 3 months after surgery but unfortunately, we lost the baby at 10 weeks. It took almost another year to get pregnant but when we did – it was a keeper! I gave birth to my TR baby, Major, on November 20, 2007. We now know our family is complete and are still so grateful to Dr. Berger for giving us hope and possibility in 2005 that became a reality with the birth of our son – who is now a very active 15 month old!

Friday, January 9th, 2009 “I got my tubes reversed November, 2007 and found out I was pregnant May, 2008. David and I are so happy that we found out about Dr. Berger.”
Posted January 9th, 2009
David and I would like to announce the birth of our daughter, Anna Dearing. I got my tubes reversed on November 21, 2007 and found out I was pregnant on May 19, 2008. We were both excited and scared at the same time hoping that I was not pregnant in my tubes. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor right away and was relieved by an ultra sound showing that I was not pregnant in my tubes.
Our beautiful baby girl graced us with her presence on December 30, 2008. My due date was January 11, 2009. She weighed 7lbs 2ozs and was 20 inches long. She was healthy and has continued to amaze us.
David and I are so happy that we found out about Dr. Berger and that he was able to help make our wish of having a baby come true. Dr. Berger and his staff are awesome people. They really show that they care about their patients. I have never seen a doctor’s office like this one. They made the whole process a memorable one.
Thanks so much for everything,

Thursday, October 16th, 2008 “Thank you for all that you did to help us complete our family. Less than 1 year after my tubal reversal, I gave birth.”
Posted October 16th, 2008

Dear Dr. Berger and Staff,
We want to send our biggest thank you for all that you did to help us complete our family.
My husband and I decide too quickly after our second child that we weren’t going to have any more. As time went on, our hearts longed for another child. You helped us make that dream a reality. Less than 1 year after my tubal reversal, I gave birth to a healthy baby boy! We couldn’t be happier.
I cannot believe how easy the process was. It was made simple by your and your kind staff. Every person took such great care of me and the extra care and concern we received even after we got home was amazing.
I could never really thank you enough… because what you made possible was our beautiful son!
Always in our hearts,
Stacy S.

Monday, May 5th, 2008 “On March 22, 2008, we brought Nolan into the world. Thank you Dr. Berger for giving us LIFE. “

Posted May 5th, 2008
On March 22, 2008, we brought Nolan into the world kicking and screaming. Okay, I was screaming…he was kicking. When Travis and I met five years earlier, I knew I could “never” have any more children; and, since he had no children of his own, I made it known to Travis early on. I didn’t want to get my heart drawn in so deep with him only to have it broken by this “deal breaker”. Travis just said, very matter-of-factly….. “well, you can just have that surgery and get your tubal ligation reversed”. Being an RN, I knew that was easier said than done; but he never doubted for one second that he would one day be a father. I had checked with surgeons in our area and with my personal OB/GYN who also performs tubal reversals, but was met with negative attitudes.
So, I put it out of my mind until December 2006 when I came across Dr. Berger’s website. Everything went so fast from then on and before we knew it, we were in Chapel Hill having surgery. The surgery and recovery were so peaceful. I felt as though I had been “put back together” and truly given a second chance at life.
I cannot think of words to describe the gratitude that I have for Dr. Berger and the entire staff of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. Nolan has brought so much joy to our whole family in such a short time. I think Travis said it best as he was whispering to his son just days after Nolan’s birth, ”I don’t know what we would have done without that doctor. I owe Dr. Berger so much more than I could ever pay him. He gave me you…he gave me my life.”
Thank you, Dr. Berger, for giving us LIFE.

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 “One month after my surgery I was pregnant. Dr. Berger, you truly are a miracle worker.”

Posted April 8th, 2008
Dear Dr Berger,
I know this is coming to you much later than it should have. But like they say, “better late than never”. On March 28, 2007 you gave me back the gift of giving birth. My boyfriend and I are probably your youngest couple so far. One month after my surgery I was pregnant. Dr. Berger, you truly are a miracle worker. I have 3 sons prior to my last pregnancy. This is my boyfriend’s first child. We had a little boy. He was 7 pounds 15 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. His name is Jenaro (after his Dad). I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done. I especially thank God for blessing you with the abilities he has given to you. You are extremely talented.
God bless,
Christine A.
