It seems like a dream sometimes - but no, it is real. These three TR babies are mine! I really do have a lot to be thankful for.
I remember that dreaded date back in 1991 when I had my tubes tied. I cried before the surgery and really cried afterwards. I knew that I had made a mistake. Almost immediately, I tried to find information on getting it reversed. I was told it was impossible and too expensive, and even if it could be done, the rate of success was very low. I guess it just didn’t sink in. Even though I had been told the very same thing prior to getting the surgery, I was still devastated. I was at a loss as to where to go and who to turn to.
Thank goodness, in December of 1999, my hubby gave me the best gift of all – the Internet. I think "tubal reversal" was the first thing I looked up, and I found Dr. Berger’s web site. I had seen him perform the reversal on TLC and was very impressed. I researched some more and felt that Dr. Berger was the one who could help me. I couldn’t believe it; soon I would be whole once again, and hopefully pregnant too.
I am here today with three precious additions to my family. Words cannot express the way I feel. I have come a long way from that day in 1991. Scheduling the surgery to repair my tubes all seemed like a dream. Then, on May 5, 2000, I awoke to hear Dr. Berger tell me I had 2 healthy and open tubes. I was surprised but blessed to be pregnant the following month. My first TR baby, Ashley Noel, was born in March of 2001. Before I knew it, I had second TR baby in 2003 (Jacob Alexander), followed by yet another (Alexis Natalie) in 2004. This picture of my three TR babies was taken at Easter.
I feel blessed and extremely fortunate. I thank God for guiding me in the right direction. I am so thankful for doctors like Dr. Berger. He has been blessed with a gift that has restored not only my body, but also my mind. I still cry when I think about it. My dream that once seemed out of reach is reality today.

May 19, 2003 - Tubal reversal baby #2 is here. Thanks again to Dr. Berger and all the staff for making it possible. Gosh it was so easy this time, I might even have another one!
April 14, 2002 - Melanie's first Tubal reversal baby Ashley turned 1 on the 12th of March. She finally started taking more than 2 steps shortly after her birthday. She is now all over the place!!! It's about time for hubby and I to start on baby #2.
