"It has been a long journey since June 10, 2003, but this new addition to our family makes it worth every mile!"

Our miracle tubal reversal baby.
It has been a long journey since June 10, 2003, but this new addition to our family makes it worth every mile.

Subject: Birth Announcement!!
Dear Dr. Berger and staff,

My family and I are pleased to announce the birth of our son and brother! Rodney "Logan" S. Jr. was born on December 1, 2005, weighing 5 pds. and 2 oz., and was 17 inches long. He made an early entrance into the world due to IUGR and low amniotic fluid levels. We are so blessed due to the fact that he only spent 6 hours in the NICU before being moved to the regular nursery. God is good! All the time!

We would like to thank each of you for your part in making this miracle possible. It has been a long journey since June 10, 2003, but this new addition to our family makes it worth every mile!

May God bless each of you.

p.s. Would it be possible to link my testimony "And God Remembered" to this announcement? I never want to forget what God has carried my through and it might be an encouragement to those who have miscarried.

I am also including a poem that I wrote last night. I hope it makes sense in my sleep deprived state.

A Rainbow

A rainbow is a mixture
Of sunshine and rain.
This represents life's journeys
Filled with happiness, sorrow, joy and pain.
When one looks upon a rainbow
With it's glorious colors bright
The storm fades from memory
With just one glimpse of it's sight.
Heavenly sunlight bursts through the clouds
Which ripped one's life apart
And begins to mix with the rain
To mend a broken heart.
On December 1, 2005
God opened up the sky
And placed a rainbow in my arms
As I heard his precious first cry.
The rubble the storm has left behind
Will no longer my focus be
My eyes are fixed upon the rainbow
God has graciously given to me.
The only way to view a rainbow
Is to weather the storm with it's pain
Remembering a rainbow
Is a mixture of sunshine and rain.
