I had a healthy baby boy 04/23/09 – 7lbs 10 oz. His name is Yoshiah Ben Abraham.

I would just like to say that after a year and a half of trying I thought the tubal reversal procedure did not work and that I would not be able to get pregnant. Then when I least expected it, I was pregnant. I could not believe it. Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t happen right away.

I wanted to take the time to tell you all Thank you so much for helping make my family complete. I had got re-married and my husband had no children. Now, thanks to you and God, we have two TR babies together.

You are wonderful and we couldn’t have done it without you. I have never met a doctor who is such a caring and loving person as you are. And your staff, too! I did have another TL after my second TR baby, because my family is complete now. What I did not know was I only had one tube in working order and I was blessed with two babies, Makayla Donnalynn born 8-31-07 and Connor William James, born 2-23-09.

Dear Dr. Berger,

My 47th birthday was on April 4th and the best present I received was from you. Because of the work that you and your staff perform at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, I was able to celebrate my 47th birthday with my 3 month old son, Cole Alexander, who was born on January 6th of this year.

After my tubal ligation in March of 2004, I never thought I would feel the warmth of a small baby’s body on my chest, or kiss daily the fat rosy cheeks and toes of a newborn.

I had my tubal reversal performed on November 12, 2007 and seven months later, I was pregnant with my third child. Cole is a beautiful and healthy baby. While I had complications with my pregnancy, it was totally due to my own health issues and not my age. I had the same problems when I gave birth to my other two children at ages 29 and 41.

I would be honored to have you share my story. I was really inspired to have my tubal reversal even though I was 45 years old primarily because of the wonderful postings I read on your message boards. I read them on a daily basis before my procedure and continued to do so after my surgery. Your Center has the best website regarding this procedure, and more importantly about how women feel about the process, that I have seen.

I sincerely hope that my success story (giving birth 3 months before my 47th birthday) will be a source of inspiration to others. I hope that the women over 40 years old will read it and continue to have faith that miracle can still happen, even after 45.

On March 25th, 2009 we welcomed James Michael III into our family. He was born just one year after the tubal reversal procedure (March 7, 2008),  without any major complications, and truly is our little miracle.

Our little one just turned 6 months and is doing well. He looks nothing like he did as a newborn and I find that I love him more each day. I didn’t think was possible to love someone so much. We have close to a thousand pictures of him already, but here is one of the latest…he is a whopping 25lbs. and 29 inches long.

Early into my relationship with my husband I found out how important it was to him to have children of his own. Although he was a great “Dad” already to my 2 young boys I knew getting a reversal was something we would look into in our future. After a year of marriage we spoke so often of me getting a reversal. After researching online, we came across CHTRC. I was so afraid. We were looking for someone to do an operation on me….online!! I decided we should look and speak to local doctors. We were then referred to an Infertility Dr. Months then went on as we were just completely unsure of what to do. It would be twice as expensive to have the procedure done locally than it would to go with the “Dr” we had found online that specializes in TRs. Finally we made our decision, December 2006, we scheduled our TR with Dr. Gary Berger for January 8, 2007!!

January 8, 2007 came faster than we expected! We were all so excited yet nervous! Arriving with the other couples to CHTRC was nice, we were definitely not alone! The staff at the hotel, the driver, CHTRC staff and Dr. Gary Berger we amazing! All fears were completely gone and we felt comfort in knowing we did make the right decision!! Dr. B told us with our age, we were both 27 at the time of the TR, we should be pregnant within the first year of TR. Boy was he wrong! I’m sure I’m not the only one to say that; and not in a bad way! We got our first positive home pregnancy test just after one “cycle” after TR, yep, within the first month (Feb. 2007)!!! We were so excited! Although it ended in miscarriage (March 2007), I found comfort in knowing that “WE CAN GET PREGNANT!” The following month, we found out we got a gift from the Easter Bunny too, April 7, 2007 we got our 2nd positive home pregnancy test. Again it ended in miscarriage (end of April 2007), being I try my hardest to find the positive in all things, I dealt with another loss knowing BOTH TUBES ARE OPEN. It was time we took a break from our TTC bus and allow my body to heal from TR and 2 miscarriages.

In August of 2007 we decided it was time to start our TTC journey once again! After a few short months of TTC we found out we again were pregnant!! November 4, 2007 was our lucky day, we got our 3rd positive home pregnancy test!! Trying not to get too excited was probably the only problem I had at the beginning of our pregnancy! We saw our baby’s heart beat at 8 weeks and 2 days and there it was.

Dear Dr Berger,

My previous testimony (#693) told how we were able to conceive our 4th child, Kylee, thanks to your reversal procedure. I wanted to follow up and tell you how complete our lives have become since my surgery in June 2006.

At the birth of my 3rd daughter, the doctor recommended that I have my tubes tied because I had a very difficult delivery and a uterine abruption. I did so, not thinking that down the road I may regret that decision, or possibly want more children. My husband always wanted a boy, but seemed quite content with the three daughters that God had given us.

As I mentioned in my first testimony – we tried to adopt, but became frustrated with the process. I prayed and prayed that the desire to have more children would go away, or that God would see fit to bring another child into our lives.

One Sunday after church my husband said he had something to tell me. We had someone watch our kids and the two of us went to dinner alone. He told me that during the morning service God spoke to him and told him that we were going to have a son. I said that I was praying to that end as well. He got very serious and said.. “You don’t understand… God told me that WE are going to have a son… not adopt… we are going to have one ourselves.” I laughed so hard the table shook! “How exactly do you plan on doing that?” I said. “I don’t know – all I know is that God spoke to me, and I have something to back it up” – he replied. He pulled out his new Bible his mother had just given him for Christmas and showed it to me. I didn’t understand.. He told me to read the name embossed on the front… I read it… Robert Keith Hunter, III…then it hit me… the retailer made a mistake. My husband is the 2nd, not the 3rd. I couldn’t help but feel like maybe it was a sign, but still doubtful that it would be possible.

That same week I was doing research for a Master’s paper I was working on, and somehow (I’m still not sure how) ended up on the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center site. I read everything I could read and watched the videos. Within 2 hours I had called the Center, and set up my surgery date. I KNEW that God was ordering my footsteps and making a way for us to have the son we had been praying for.

My previous testimony outlined what transpired in those months immediately following my surgery. We became pregnant immediately and had our 4th beautiful daughter in April 2007. We immediately fell in love with her and she brought so much joy to our house.

But my story really just begins here. In March of 2008, just 11 months after the birth of our first “Berger baby”, I found out I was pregnant with our second “Berger baby”.

After 15 weeks of pregnancy, an ultrasound revealed that it was a BOY. I cried right there in the room. After all the prayers and seemingly insignificant decisions… EVERYTHING led to that moment when we found out that our God not only hears but answers prayers.

We delivered our son, Robert Keith Hunter, III “Trevin” a few weeks early, but happy and healthy, on October 20, 2008. He weighed 3lb, 12oz and he looks just like his father.

THANK YOU so much for allowing us to complete our family, and for allowing God to use you to show us that NOTHING is impossible. I will forever be in your debt for the service you provided, that allowed us to have not one, but two of our children.

You are an amazing man, and I truly believe that God has allowed you to be here at this time in history, to fulfill His special purpose, for this generation. You will probably never know the impact that you have had on the world, the country, your city and our family. May God bless you, and may you continue to offer hope to those who have given up hope. It was all worth it!

Lamentations 2:19 says Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children.
