Blessing and Purpose - Testimonial #726

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

“Elizabeth is such a blessing. She has a purpose.”

Elizabeth is a blessing to our family and to all of those around us.
Our 18 year old son, Kelli, and twin 15 year old daughters, Amber and Tia have loved Elizabeth completely and without reservation from the moment of her birth.

Posted May 6th 2008

My name is Sheryl and I live in Michigan. I am writing to let you know what a difference Dr. Berger and your team made in our lives!

In May of 2005 I had my tubal reversal done at your facility. Although the next 2 years were difficult (we had multiple losses and a ruptured ectopic), we persevered and were pregnant again in fall of 2006. We delivered our baby girl, Elizabeth, March 12, 2007. She was born via c/s 2 weeks earlier than we had scheduled and we found out in recovery that she has Down syndrome. My husband, Joby, is 39 and I am 38 years old so we knew there was an increased risk, but we were shocked nonetheless. However, we loved her from the start!

I have an 18 year old son, Kelli, and twin 15 year old daughters, Amber and Tia. They have loved Elizabeth completely and without reservation from the moment of her birth. She has touched everyone she has come into contact with. At the age of 5 months she had to have open heart surgery to repair 2 major holes (a vsd and an asd) in her heart. So many people contacted us during that time to tell us how they were concerned! She has taught everyone around us compassion, empathy, and courage! It is discussed in the high school that my kids attend and in our community. She is a blessing to our family and to all of those around us.

I tell you all of this because without Dr. Berger and your team, Elizabeth would not be part of our lives. I firmly believe this. It took us finding your web page to feel completely confident we were going thru with the TR. Your staff was incredible and everything was such a great experience!

Elizabeth is already such a blessing, and I believe she was born with DS for a reason. Someday she will achieve remarkable things and/or touch someone in a remarkable way that changes them for the better (even though we may never know it). She has a purpose.

Thank you again! You have also been a blessing in our lives.

Giving Life - Testimonial #725

“On March 22, 2008, we brought Nolan into the world. Thank you Dr. Berger for giving us LIFE. “

I owe Dr. Berger so much more than I could ever pay him. He gave me you…he gave me my life.”
Posted May 5th, 2008

On March 22, 2008, we brought Nolan into the world kicking and screaming. Okay, I was screaming…he was kicking. When Travis and I met five years earlier, I knew I could “never” have any more children; and, since he had no children of his own, I made it known to Travis early on. I didn’t want to get my heart drawn in so deep with him only to have it broken by this “deal breaker”. Travis just said, very matter-of-factly….. “well, you can just have that surgery and get your tubal ligation reversed”. Being an RN, I knew that was easier said than done; but he never doubted for one second that he would one day be a father. I had checked with surgeons in our area and with my personal OB/GYN who also performs tubal reversals, but was met with negative attitudes.

So, I put it out of my mind until December 2006 when I came across Dr. Berger’s website. Everything went so fast from then on and before we knew it, we were in Chapel Hill having surgery. The surgery and recovery were so peaceful. I felt as though I had been “put back together” and truly given a second chance at life.

I cannot think of words to describe the gratitude that I have for Dr. Berger and the entire staff of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. Nolan has brought so much joy to our whole family in such a short time. I think Travis said it best as he was whispering to his son just days after Nolan’s birth, ”I don’t know what we would have done without that doctor. I owe Dr. Berger so much more than I could ever pay him. He gave me you…he gave me my life.”

Thank you, Dr. Berger, for giving us LIFE.

Children Again After Tubal Ligation - Testimonial #724

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

“I had a tubal ligation and was told I would never have children again. Little did I know then that 9 years later I would have 2 more beautiful babies.”

I had a tubal ligation and was told I would never have children again. Little did I know then that 9 years later I would have 2 more beautiful babies.
These are our two children after tubal ligation conceived thanks to my tubal reversal procedure by Dr. Berger.

Posted April 16th, 2008

In September of 1999 I had a tubal ligation, and was told I would never have children again. Little did I know then that 9 years later I would have 2 more beautiful babies! I had my TR with Dr. Berger on November 5, 2004, a month and a half later I had a BFP, which gave us our first TR baby, Carson (now 2 1/2)! Then, July 24, 2007 we got our 2nd (SURPRISE) BFP that gave us our 2nd TR baby, Arleigh (11 days old)!

When we researched and found CHTRC, we thought it was too good to be true! Even after arriving in Chapel Hill, I was waiting for Dateline to jump out and say we were scammed! Could a Doctor and an office be so kind, loving, helpful, and actually put me back together? We are living proof……. Dr. Berger and his staff do God’s work in that office!

I love to tell our story. It amazes everyone, even me! We could never thank Dr. B. and the staff at CHTRC enough for all they have done for us and for all they have given us!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

Our TR Baby #2 - Testimonial #723

Monday, April 14th, 2008
Our TR Baby #2 arrived safe and sound.

Both of our “Berger Babies” together.

“Our TR Baby #2 arrived safe and sound. Special thanks for giving us a chance to have these two precious gifts.”

Subject: Another TR Baby

Dear Dr. Berger,

Just a quick note to let you know that our TR baby #2, Ethan Michael, finally arrived safe and sound via an unscheduled c-section on March 11th, 2008. He weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Mike and I, as well as big sister, Peyton (TR Baby #1), want to thank you personally for all that you did to help bring this special miracle into the world. Due to some fertility issues after Peyton was born, it was a long and difficult struggle for our family, but so worth it all in the end. He is a happy and healthy little boy and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

Here is a picture of Ethan at 10 days old. Also a picture with big sister, Peyton (now 3 years old), both of our “Berger Babies” together.

God truly has given you a special gift as a physician. Once again a special thanks to you and your staff for giving us a chance to have these two precious gifts.

With much gratitude,

Kelli and Mike F.

“Noah is our first tubal reversal baby. We are planning on one more.”

Noah is our first tubal reversal baby made possible through the skilled hands and talents of Dr Berger.
Posted April 11th, 2008

G’DAY everyone. Here is an updated photo of Noah Zackary and me taken March 21st, 2008. Noah was born on Janurary 2nd. Noah is our first tubal reversal baby. We are planning on one more.

I thank the Lord he was made possible through the skilled hands and talents of Dr Berger and assisting staff. They made the experience special with outstanding support. I am a person who fears any sort of surgery. I have anxiety attacks over it. The staff was wonderful, holding my hand, and reassuring me that in no time I will be awake and on my way.

I recall as they wheeled me out of the operating room and waking up being told it was very successful and I had great tubal lengths, and yet I remember thinking it was a dream. After five years of not being able to have children, how blessed if felt to be given this gift back through your talents and God’s guidance.

I proudly show off Noah in his Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center T-Shirt. The MDS who see him all say in amazement “WOW, he’s really a tubal reversal baby? Most people try but don’t have success.” My response proudly is, “Dr Berger is the best - he does this five days a week and his success rate is high.” I wouldn’t have gone to anyone but him. I tell everyone who asks about tubal reversal to go to Dr Berger in Chapel Hill, NC. I tell them I got pregnant eight days following surgery, then again a month after we tried again.

And here I sit today with our miracle…

Thank you, Dr Berger.

Anyone reading this seeking information or wondering if they should go with Dr Berger, please feel free to contact me. I would be PROUD and more then WILLING to tell you why Dr Berger is the answer.

Our First Child Together - Testimonial # 721

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

“My husband told me that our first child together was the best thing that ever happened to him.”

Our first child together, Laci, is the best thing that ever happened to my husband.

Posted April 10th, 2008

On New Year’s Eve my husband, Sean, told me that our first child together was the best thing that ever happened to him and asked was I willing to do what I could to try to have another child. The next day I began searching the internet for options and I kept coming back to Dr. Berger’s site. We decided that God was leading us and began making our plans. Within three days, we had scheduled our tubal reversal and on February 10th, 2006 the reversal surgery was done. I never doubted that we’d have another child because I believed it was in God’s plan to send us to Dr. Berger; it was just a matter of time.

Our conceiving was delayed for over a year when I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem. Once that was under control, we conceived our baby girl in July 2007! Laci Faye was born on March 11th, 2008 and she is truly a blessing from God. We could not have done this without Dr. Berger and his staff and we are truly grateful!

Thank you so much,

Sean and Leslie B.

Pregnant After Surgery - Testimonial # 720

“One month after my surgery I was pregnant. Dr. Berger, you truly are a miracle worker.”

One month after my surgery I was pregnant. You truly are a miracle worker.

Posted April 8th, 2008

Dear Dr Berger,

I know this is coming to you much later than it should have. But like they say, “better late than never”. On March 28, 2007 you gave me back the gift of giving birth. My boyfriend and I are probably your youngest couple so far. One month after my surgery I was pregnant. Dr. Berger, you truly are a miracle worker. I have 3 sons prior to my last pregnancy. This is my boyfriend’s first child. We had a little boy. He was 7 pounds 15 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. His name is Jenaro (after his Dad). I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done. I especially thank God for blessing you with the abilities he has given to you. You are extremely talented.
God bless,

The Lord Took Me to Chapel Hill - Testimonial # 719

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

“I told my testimony at church and to anyone else who would listen to me about Dr Berger and how the Lord took me to Chapel Hill.”

It is such a miracle!!!!! I can’t wait to tell my baby boy HIS story one day.

Posted April 2nd, 2008

In June, 2005 I delivered what I thought was my last baby girl. That would make 3 girls to be exact! I thought my family was complete. My husband and I had had some rocky roads, as any couple may experience, and I was through having babies. I had my tubes tied immediately after my c-section, because I KNEW I wasn’t going to have any more children. I didn’t want any more children. I didn’t tell my husband, I just signed the consent form from my OBGYN and it was done. I had a wonderful summer with my new baby and 2 little girls at the pool and beach. I went back to work in September, full force, as a Registered Nurse Administrator of a huge 35 chair dialysis clinic, and an Acute Hospital Based Dialysis Program. I drove an hour to work everyday and put my whole heart and life into work for about a year.

It was September 2006 that I ended up in a nearby Emergency Room, in anaphylactic shock and scared myself almost to death. I remember having this feeling that life is so short, and recognizing that I really needed to better balance my life with work and my family. My husband and I began really bonding closer together, drawing closer to the Lord as well, and really started enjoying each other and our 3 precious daughters. I remember having feelings of wanting another child, but knew deep inside that it would never happen again, because my tubes had been tied. Oh, how I longed for another child and had this empty, dark, feeling that it would never happen again. I was scared to tell my husband that I had had my tubes tied, but I was convicted to do so. When I did, he said that he had been praying for another child, but I hadn’t become pregnant. Wow, it’s amazing how God can change your heart and desires, and you not even know what is going on.

I remember driving to work one winter morning about 2 months after my episode in the ER, November 2006, and I couldn’t hardly wait to get there to get on my computer and look up Tubal Reversal. I knew my OBGYN had told me in the past that getting my tubes tide was a DONE DEAL. Little did I know that Dr Berger and his team of wonderful professionals existed. My internet search took me directly to his website, and I read every page from top to bottom, and printed off all of the sheets and took them home and reread everything over again. I prayed and prayed like I had never before. I remember the spirit force that kept drawing me to this website everyday for nearly 3 weeks. I was hooked. I was so excited thinking that there might be a possibility of having another baby that I thought I would never want, nor have.

I called my mother and told her, thinking that she would think I was crazy. Being the spirit-led mother that she is, she said, “I knew that you were going to have another baby”. She didn’t know how, but she had had visions that I would have another child. I told my husband and he was so excited and told me to go for it.

I started the process and gathered everything Dr Berger needed and began corresponding with one of his many wonderful nurses online. What only took a few weeks seemed like an eternity, because I was eagerly wanting to get pregnant by now. I knew I was no spring chicken and I felt like time was ticking.

On February 16th, 2007, I had my tubal reversal surgery scheduled. The team that works with Dr Berger is ONE OF A KIND. You just don’t get that quality of care and have that nice/clean/quiet environment that I was exposed to at his office. I was so nervous, coming from a nursing background. I knew what all of the cons could be to having any kind of surgery, let alone, one that was elective. Of course, insurance wouldn’t pay for it, which I hope one day that it will, so I took my MasterCard and headed off to Chapel Hill with my mother. My husband stayed back at home with the other 3 children. I just can’t say enough of how great an experience the entire trip was. I really did experience some type of spirit or serene feeling that I had been there before. It’s hard to describe, but it makes me want to have the whole experience again.

Anyways, Sarah was my nurse that I had after my surgery. I remember thinking, I sure wish I could work somewhere like this everyday. She was glowing and you could tell that she loved her job as well as her patients. When I went in to speak with Dr Berger, I felt like I needed to explain why I was there. He had such a peace about him that made you just want to hug him and just spill your guts out to him. Am I ever so grateful and thankful for him and his entire team.

Well, after the speedy recovery, I headed home to get pregnant, and indeed I did. My last menstrual cycle was on March 27th, and I delivered a healthy Baby Boy - James Preston III - the same year on December 21st, 2007. The pregnancy was a rocky road full of unwanted news of dreadful tests and possible birth defects. Oh, how good is our God. I remained faithful and had the saying written at the end of my email address that read “Faith is believing in something when common sense tells you not to.” Boy, was I stepping our in faith. I did grow stronger in the Lord as well as stronger to my husband during these more trying times than I thought I could bear. How could our Good Lord bring me to have a tubal reversal and give me an unhealthy child, or possibly a child that wouldn’t live. Like I said, it was such a rocky road, but ended so sweet.

I told my testimony at church and to anyone else who would listen to me about Dr Berger and how the Lord took me to Chapel Hill, and I remained faithful even in the lowest of times. I had everyone praying for me…..

There is so much that I have left out of this testimony but the most important thing that I can express is that first, Our God is Good, and second Dr Berger and his team have got to have the best job in the whole wide world. I would be so honored to work there to help all of these families that come from all over the world to have this tubal reversal procedure done. It is such a miracle!!!!! I can’t wait to tell my baby boy HIS story one day. He has 3 little mamas to take care of him and again we want to say THANK YOU.

First Child New Mother - Testimonial #718

“Thank you for giving my husband his first child and making me a new mother again.”

Thank you for giving my husband his first child and making me a new mother again.

Posted March 22th, 2008

Dear Dr. Berger and Staff,

Thank you for giving my husband his first child and making me a new mother again. I would like to thank you all for being so kind and wonderful in the journey to have another child. I had my tubal reversal surgery on 4/10/07. I found out I was pregnant on 7/12/07, which was my birthday, and I could not imagine a better birthday present for me or my husband. My whole family is so happy with the new addition to our family.

I was nervous about finding a doctor online and taking care of business over the phone, but once I started talking to your staff and getting everything scheduled everyone in your office made me feel very comfortable and I want to thank you and your wonderful staff for that.

My son, Tafuma Jr., was born on 3/12/08. He was 6 lbs 15 oz 19 1/2 inches long. We could not be any happier than we are today. Thank you for bringing us our miracle child. I am so glad I found your web site when I started researching for my tubal reversal.

Thank You again for giving us the opportunity to have a child.

My Own Child - Testimonial #717

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

“I thought I would never give birth to my own child again. Today I’m looking at my 5 week old baby.”

I'm looking at my 5 week old baby wondering how I could ever thank Dr Berger.

Posted March 20th, 2008

Here’ s my story…. I’m 28 year old and was divorced in 2004 with 3 kids and my tubes tied. I thought I would never meet anyone again and knew I would never give birth to my own child again.

In early 2006 I met the man who made all my dreams come true except one, and that was the dream to hold a piece of him and me. He was also the same age but never had kids.

I wanted so badly to have another baby and he said “go get your tubes untied”. Well, NEVER did I ever expect a doctor to do something like that! Married and ready to have another baby, I found the doctor of my dreams. We went to Dr. Berger and met him and his wonderful staff, who really care for you!

I had my tubal reversal surgery on March 15, 2007. The nurses were wonderful and Dr. Berger was great. My tubes were 7.5 & 6.5 in length after the surgery, and I remember Dr. Berger looking at me with his nice smile and saying “YOU WILL GET PREGNANT SOON”. I thought - yea right, that’s what he gets paid to say.

Today is March 20, 2008 and I’m looking at my 5 week old baby wondering how I can ever thank Dr Berger. I’m Amber and If you would ever like to chat or have any questions please email me.

Thank you,

Amber & Emma Grace
