We saved for a year and drove for a week just to be able to have Dr. Berger perform my tubal reversal surgery (6/18/08).
It was worth every penny and every minute! Here is a picture of our tubal reversal baby, Princess Gia, at 4 months.

Pregnancies 1st Week September 2008
Date of Tubal Reversal: 6/18/08
Date of Pregnancy Test: 7/31/08
We were prepared that our reversal may or may not have worked so you can imagine our surprise when I got pregnant on our first try! I am 38 and have 4 great kids ranging from 15 down to 1 1/2 years old. Hours after my tubal ligation I knew that it was a mistake and have been hoping for this moment ever since. Thank you Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, we truly believe that only you could have done this for us! I am almost 9 weeks and so far, so good.

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 “I’m still amazed today that I became pregnant after all my body has been through. Thank you Dr. Berger and your staff for making this dream of mine a reality! I am truly blessed.”
Posted August 20th, 2009
In 2000 I chose to have a tubal ligation after losing my son to severe eclampisa and HELLP Syndrome in 1995. It was suggested I not have a child or try. On 10/11/2004 Dr Berger and staff performed my tubal reversal instilling hope in me that one day I would have that miracle baby. Over the course of a year and a half, I became pregnant twice via IUI but sadly both times my pregnancy ended in miscarriage and the last one was a suspected tubal pregnancy and a follow up HSG showed one tube possibly blocked. Due to a change in my marital status at the age of 36 I pretty much gave up all hope of having a child and put that to rest and just forged ahead with life.
Well…. As luck would have it my life changed with a new relationship and new outlook and shockingly I discovered, after being 11 days late, in early May 2008 that I was indeed pregnant. We were not trying and quite frankly had said “no children” and based on my history with having to use fertility treatments the thought of getting pregnant on my own was not even on my mind. I was not prepared for the “it’s positive” from the nurse. I cried for various reasons. Well to make a long story short, after a very high risk pregnancy Michael Jon was born on 11/19/2008. He came early at 32 weeks and only weighed 2lbs 10 ounces due to IUGR. It was a long 6 week NICU stay but today he is 9mos and 1 day and the best miracle I could ever ask for. I will be celebrating my 40th birthday in September with such joy. I’m still amazed today that I became pregnant after all my body has been through. Thank you Dr Berger and your staff for making this dream of mine a reality! I am truly blessed.

Saturday, August 15th, 2009 “I had an ectopic pregnancy and lost my left tube. I underwent a second tubal reversal on the right tube, and 2 months later in December, 2008 I was pregnant.”
Posted August 15th, 2009
After 2 children, I had decided to have a tubal ligation. But after remarrying, we decided to have the tubal reversed. January 2008 started our journey and I had the first tubal reversal. Unfortunately, in March 2008 I had an ectopic pregnancy and lost my left tube. We continued to try to conceive for 6 more months before discovering in September that my right tube had re-closed. I underwent another tubal reversal on the right tube, and 2 months later in December, 2008 I was pregnant! We closely monitored the pregnancy to ensure it was not ectopic, and on August 12, 2009 our little miracle John “Landon” was born.
Without Dr. Berger, and his entire staff we would not have Landon. Each day with him is such a blessing, and we are so incredibly thankful for Dr. Berger’s talent and expertise in making the dreams of having a baby a reality. We truly can never thank you enough.
Sincerely,
John, Tammy and Landon R.

Saturday, August 8th, 2009 “Dr. Berger we are so grateful! Thank you to your entire staff. Jason and I have brought our beautiful little girl home. We cannot thank you enough.”
Posted August 8th, 2009
Dear Dr. Berger,
Great news. Jason and I have brought our beautiful little girl home! After 4 miscarriages, one of which was ectopic, I became pregnant in November 08 with a due date of August 1st, 2009 and was immediately put on Lovenox and folic acid to sustain the pregnancy.
I was hospitalized on December 19th, 2008 and under went emergency surgery due to discovering I had a heterotopic pregnancy. I lost my right tube and ovary but Scarlett hung in there (in the uterus)!
On August 23rd, I went to Dewitt Army Hospital and was induced at 0700 and by 1100 I was having difficulties resisting the urge to push. Scarlett was born at 1212, 8lbs, length 20.25 inches, Head circumference 34cm, Apgar was 9, and she had mild jaundice. We were discharged on the 25th.
She is now home and we are so grateful! Thanks Dr. Berger and your entire staff. I will send in a picture with her eyes open for your records soon. For now I have a photo of her sleeping! We cannot thank you enough.

Monday, July 27th, 2009 “Dr. Berger and staff, I would like to thank you all for our beautiful baby girl.”
Posted July 27th, 2009
Dr. Berger and staff,
I would like to thank you all for our beautiful baby girl!!! I’ve always wanted to have a houseful of little feet and due to some events in my life, I thought I would never achieve that goal. You’ve made that possible for me and it’s happening!
We are not trying to conceive right now, but we are not trying not to either. Due to breast feeding, my cycles are not regular, therefore making it difficult to know when I’m close to ovulating. I’m sure I could use OPK’s, but like I said, we are not “trying”… yet.
Here is the information on our experience at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center:
Date of Tubal Reversal: May 28th, 2008
Date of Conception: June 18th, 2008 (only 3 weeks!)
Date of Positive Pregnancy Test: June 30th, 2008
Date of Birth: March 15th, 2009
Name: Allyssa Madison
Weight: 7# 8 oz.
Lenght: 19 1/4″
I would also like to know if you have gender birth statistics based on post reversal tube length. We have 3 girls so far and would like to know if reversal affects the gender in any way.
Thank you!!!

Friday, July 24th, 2009 “I had my tubal reversal with Dr Monteith on 7/30/08. I was one of his first patients. On June 3rd, I delivered a healthy 8 lb 10 oz baby boy!”
Posted July 24th, 2009
Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, I wanted to share our joy with you! I had my tubal reversal with Dr. Monteith on 7/30/08. I was one of his first patients. My experience was great! I healed quickly and pretty easily, and soon returned to my full time wife and mother of four duties. We waited one cycle to TTC, and then I was pregnant the first cycle “trying”.
On June 3rd, I delivered a healthy 8 lb 10 oz baby boy! He’s 7 weeks now, and an absolute joy and blessing to us. We are thankful that God blessed us with him, after the skilled hands of Dr. Monteith put me back to “wholeness” again. I look forward to the return of my cycles when my body is ready since I’m breastfeeding and since I know my PTLS will be so much better. I don’t dread my cycle the way I did when I was suffering after my tubal ligation.
Thanks again for the wonderful and skilled care I received, and for being part of another one of God’s miracles in our life! We hope to be blessed with more of these precious gifts in the future.
Thanks again, and God Bless

Thursday, June 11th, 2009 “I had a healthy baby boy. After a year and a half of trying, when I least expected it, I was pregnant.”
Posted June 11th, 2009
I had a healthy baby boy 04/23/09 – 7lbs 10 oz. His name is Yoshiah Ben Abraham.
I would just like to say that after a year and a half of trying I thought the tubal reversal procedure did not work and that I would not be able to get pregnant. Then when I least expected it, I was pregnant. I could not believe it. Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t happen right away.

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009 “Even those with short tubes or only one tube can get pregnant.”
Posted June 11th, 2009
I would like to thank Dr. Berger and the staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center for our miracle once again. Blake is turning three today and if it wasn’t for you we would not be celebrating June 10th as a special day. Blake is truly a blessing to us and our family. We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us this precious little boy. We are forever grateful to you and all those who were there for us.
I also would just like to say to those of you who are trying to have a baby, please keep faith. I was only given a 30% chance of pregnancy after tubal reversal surgery. Then later one of my tubes blocked and I only had a very very short one left. But as you read, miracles do happen. I have a healthy three year old now. So even those with short tubes or only one tube you can get pregnant.
Thank you,
Crystal and Mark W.

Posted May 28th, 2009
Hi Dr. Berger,
Back in 1990, with your help, I got pregnant. January 20, 1991 my beautiful baby girl was born. Friday, May 22, 2009 she graduated from High School. Thank you so much!!! She’s a fabulous person, inside and out. Can’t imagine my life without her. I am attaching a photo of her at graduation. I hope you remember us, but if not I understand. After all, you deal with lots of patients. I have since divorced and both of us have remarried. I had another child, a boy, who turned 5 January 12, 2009. I was taking birth control pills when I got pregnant. 43 years of age and pregnant!! Life is just full of surprises and it’s great!!!
I remember well all the things you did to help me get pregnant with Candace and I’m very, very grateful!! Thought you would like to see one of your children as she becomes a mature young woman. I also attached a photo of her with my son. One again, thank you so much!!!! Keep in touch, if possible. Have a wonderful day!!

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009 “I had my tubes tied 20 years ago. I had my tubal reversal surgery in December of 2006 and got pregnant in February of 2008. I was told that it may take longer because I only have one tube. My husband and I are ecstatic.“
Posted May 26th, 2009
Dear Dr. Berger,
I had my tubes tied 20 years ago never thinking I would get divorced and meet the man of my dreams, but I did. He didn’t have any kids, and after talking and testing and a surgery from another doctor that wasn’t successful, I found Dr. Berger!!
I had my tubal reversal surgery in December of 2006, got pregnant in February of 2008, and had her on October 28, 2008. I was told that it may take longer because I only have one tube, but it did happen and we owe it all to Dr. Berger. My husband and I are ecstatic that we now have a beautiful baby girl and we are trying for another one right away. This is a picture of our baby girl. Please post the picture and my testimonial on your web site.
I have 2 kids and 4 grandkids with another on the way, and my children are very excited that they will meet their new baby sister in a couple of weeks.
Thank you so very much, Dr. Berger and staff, for making this possible for us.

Monday, May 4th, 2009 “Dr. Berger - My family wishes to send you unending thanks for our precious miracle.”
Posted May 5th, 2009
Dr. Berger,
My family wishes to send you unending thanks for our precious miracle! Miss Harper Bailey arrived on February 19, 2009 which just happens to be her Mommy’s birthday (best birthday present ever) and exactly three years after my tubal reversal. She is a perfect testimonial of why not to listen to the doctors who frown upon this surgery or don’t believe that it does work.
After my surgery in February of 2006, I made the follow-up appointment with my OB-GYN. The first thing he said when he walked in was that the reversal surgery just doesn’t work. He advised me to make an appointment to have both tubes removed and wanted to refer us to an invitro specialist. I refused. I found out I was pregnant in November 2006, but unfortunately the pregnancy was tubal. I had an HSG soon after that said my right tube was totally blocked. Despite more discouragement, we kept trying. I honestly had come to the point of excepting whatever God had in store for us was ok. Last summer, I had stopped hoping to get pregnant. I started feeling sick, but convinced myself that it was psychosomatic and decided not to take a test. My husband finally came home with a pregnancy test and begged me to take it. I did, but just through it aside and continued my other tasks. I walked by the test to scan it and throw it away. Amazingly – it was positive! Eight months later, God blessed me with my little birthday present!
Please let everyone know not to get discouraged. I had Harper despite a blocked tube, a tubal pregnancy, having Type I diabetes, turning 38 the day she was born and countless discouragement. My husband, her two big brothers, and especially her Mommy thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
