I was 34 when I had my TR surgery. I am now 40 and have an amazing son who is now 17 months. 6 weeks after my surgery I was pregnant ended as an ectopic. Had the injection to stop the pregnancy. About 9 months later I was pregnant again that also ended with an ectopic. I received another injection to stop that pregnancy. I started seeing another doctor who reviewed all my x-rays and reports from the ectopic pregnancies and suggested I have the left tube removed, so she removed that tube and some scar tissue. Tried for over a year and nothing. My husband and I decided to try IVF. After several failed attempts we just gave up and came to terms with us never having a baby together.
About a year later we found out I was pregnant again on our own and after a long but wonderful 9 months I had our son! He is the most amazing baby… I thank God everyday for giving us this miracle. Thanks also to Dr. Berger – without your amazing talent Scotty wouldn’t be here!

My pregnancy was not due to a tube reversal surgery. But I too had a wonderful son with only one tube. I had had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured, and was told that although the chances were slim, I could possibly conceive a child. 5 years after the removal of that ruptured tube, I did conceive my wonderful miracle son. He is now 33 years old!!
I met Michelle through the Tubal Reversal Board. I was fortunate that she lives within a very short distance of me. My ligation reversal was months after hers so I was unbelievably excited when we met in person. We hit it off immediately and became great friends. Michelle and I investigated the IVF path together and even used the same doctor. Although my journey ended without a birth…I am unbelievably blessed by knowing Michelle. Scotty is the most adorable little guy. I love you Michelle…you deserved this miracle! Noelle
