Dear Dr. Berger,
I had a tubal ligation back in 1983 after my third child was born. In 1988 I remarried to a man that had no children and we both wanted so much to have a child together. We had given up all hope of this until one day a friend of mine told me about this new surgery that was being done and the success rate was good. She told me about a Dr. Berger in Chapel Hill who was performing miracles giving women their ability to bear children after a tubal ligation. The surgery was done differently then all the other surgeries that were being done by other doctors. This surgery gave a 90% chance of becoming pregnant. My husband and I made an appointment and the tests began. You performed my tubal reversal in December of 1988 and I was home that night. It took a few months before I had gotten pregnant and it was a tubal pregnancy on the right side. My husband and I were shattered. I was told that the tube was not removed and I needed to try to get pregnant again when I feel myself ovulating on the left side. I always knew which side I was ovulating on. Seven months later I was pregnant again. My daughter Danielle was born October 03, 1990. Eight months later I had gotten pregnant again and I knew before they told me…it was an ectopic pregnancy in the right tube. The right tube was removed this time. To make a long story short…
I gave birth two more times. Michael was born on June 13, 1992 and Matthew was born on October, 09, 1994. As I watch my daughter Danielle graduate “Top of her class” on April, 15th of 2010 I will be thanking God for sending me a doctor known for making miracles. Danielle will be going to college this Fall and she wants to go in to the medical field. My son Michael will be joining the Air-Force next year after he graduates. Matthew is brilliant on computers. He wants to go in to the field of Computers.

I had my last child at 34, so don’t worry about age. I can relate to the feelings that you are experiencing. I myself had them. You know they do have the ovulation kits out now.It can tell you when ovulation is detected and the days that you are most fertile. As for the pain around the ovary sight, I would count ten days after my menstrual cycle and I would feel a slight cramping in my pelvic. I would feel a painful dull ach around the ovary that was releasing the egg.(left or right ovary area) Also you have a slight discharge of whitish creamy mucus. This would be the beginning of ovulation Just see if you can’t concentrate on this next time you have your menses and see if you can detect what side you release the egg.I hope I have been some help to you. Hi Connie, i am also in the same situation, but with less hope i guess, i had a tubal ligation and resection procedure. I am concern about not being able to conceive. I just turn 35. Can you explain to me about the ovulation feeling, i have never felt that, i have two boys and its been 7 yrs since then. Your help would be more then appreciated.
