Dr. Berger,
My husband and I came to you for my tubal reversal in March of 2008. I always kept my hopes up high and was confident that I would get pregnant. After my surgery March 7, 2008, I was determined to try right away and I first thank God for giving you the gift of helping moms once again have hope in conceiving and that regret having a tubal ligation and second I thank you and your staff for helping us get to the next step in conceiving.
My husband and I conceived our baby boy 3 months after my surgery. Julian IV was born March 20, 2009. we already have 4 daughters ages 19, 15, 13, and 10. Our girls are besides themselves with the new baby, not to mention dad and me. Waking up at night to feed baby every 2 hours is a joy for me. Yes, it is very exhausting, but picking my baby up from his crib at 2 am and holding him in my arms to feed him is more than worth my exhaustion. Thank you so much and we will keep you informed when we conceive TR baby number 2 and number 6 in our family.

I am 43 1/2 years old and am making plans to go to Chapel Hill to get my TR, I haven’t called them yet, but am very soon but before I do I thought that I would email someone who has been there and went through the procedure already. Anyway was wondering if you would mind telling me your age, as I am wondering if I am too old or will not have much of a chance. I have always had regular cycles every month and never have had any female troubles. I was very fertile before the tubal ligation and got pregnant very easily all 3 of my pregnancies and then I had my tubes burnt and cut 12 years ago at the C-section birth of my youngest child. (regretted it ever since!)Anything you can share with me would be appreciated. Thank-you and God Bless you and your new little one. Tracy in Iowa

Tracy,
When I had my tubal ligation in 1999 I was 24 years old, I to had my tubes clipped and burned. I regreted doing that but at the time my husband and I felt it was the only way to not concieve. Years later we regret it and I started my search for a doctor that could reverse it. I researched and I narrowed it down to 3 doctors but my intuition and thorough reading of his website and message board I was convinced that Dr. Berger was the doctor that would perform my surgery and help us achieve our dream. When I had the surgery done I was 33 years old. My periods have always been irregular and being that I have been seeing my ob/gyn for 14 years he knew I would eventually get stressed out in trying to concieve. My ob/gyn prescribed my clomid and after only one dose I was pregnant. I will admit there are so many remedies and advice on message boards and I tried just about all of them but common sense helps because it is easy to get caught up in it. My advise is have faith and go with an open mind and heart. Start taking prenatal vitamins to regain and catch up with any vitamins, nutrients that your body may not be making as it use to when you were fertile. When trying to concieve keep it fun and not a task that need to be accomplished and yes you will hear it over and over not to stress yourself over the trying to concieve step but it is not easy but like I said keep your faith.

I am 44 years old, but I was 43 1/2 when I got my tubes untied. I had 3 children prior to marrying my husband. My youngest is 15. I got my tubes tied right after she was born. My reversal date was Oct 31 and I found out I was pregnant in March. Now 4 months pregnant. My periods were always regular, but I know it was only through the grace of God and how He used the hands of doctor Berger to untie my tubes is the reason that my little girl is waiting to be born. I took the prenatal vitamins and I used fertile aid once or twice. My husband and I are very excited about out December baby. Pray about and enjoy baby dancing with our husband and watch Him work.

I am 33 years old. I had my tubes tied 3 years ago and i would like to have a next child. I live in Trinidad. I regret having my surgery like every one else, and would like to have a tubal reversal because God has blessed me with a wonderful man who has no children. I would appreciate any assistance in helping me get this operation.

I am 39 yrs old and I had my tubes tied in 1993 after my youngest son was born. I remarried in 2004 and we are praying for a child together. I found out they not only tied my tubes but they also removed a section of my tube. Is this a common thing? Is there any hope in having a reversal after something like that? We are praying for the Grace of God to surround us and Bless us with the baby we so desperately want. I would appreciate any assistance or advice on this serious problem. Thank You.

LISA – You can have your tubes untied. It is very common to removed a section of the fallopian tube after tying it. You can see our pregnancy statistics after tubal reversal by age by clicking on the “Pregnancy Statistics” button on the left hand side of the page.
