I have scheduled my Tubal Reversal for May 2011, I read the Testimonials , Patient Satisfaction Etc... Everyday, this has been a fight within for four years, and I felt that if I don't do it, I will have regrets for atleast trying. Reading all these Happy Stories gives me lots of hope! Reading this story has given me hope. I remarried in 2003 and my husband who has no kids. We wrestled back and forth with the idea of having kids. I have 2 kids and 1 granddaughter. I'm 46 and just scheduled my tubal reversal yesterday for February. I too thought I was too old. Now I know that it is possible. So wish us luck!!

Thanks to everyone that has posted-everyone. I am almost 39 and I have three children and one grandchild (still can’t believe that but “whatever”). Anyway-I had my tubal ligation reversal January 2008 and have only one tube open. I have been up and down emotionally and sometimes I feel very discouraged. This posting has really helped me. Thanks again.

I am so excited that I found this page! I was hoping to find postings from women in their 40′s !!! So… I am not the only 40-something trying to pursue my dream of having another child!! I have hope and I am going forward with pursuing my husband’s and my dreams! Even if, GOD FORBID, I never get pregnant again I will have least tried by getting a TR! After reading and hearing so many wonderful stories I have decided to take a chance and try TR. It sounds like a great idea. Me and my husband have been talking about this for awhile but he didn't want to put me through any pain and suffering. He doesn’t have kids. At our wedding he told his parent that since we couldn't give them a grandchild at least he could do is give them a wedding. I have three ages from 16-24. And I would love to give my husband a child. And with your help I think it’s possible.

I just finished the first and probably last IVF treatment that resulted in 45 shots over 10 days, surgical retrieval of eggs, only 2 fair to poor embryos that were transplanted, and a negative pregnancy test. I was told because of my age 45 that IVF was my only true hope of having another baby (I have 3 children already and my husband has 1 from a prior marriage). My husband is 12 years younger than me and we both want children together. After getting a phone call today from my doctor on the heels of the bad news, she doesn’t think I should try again because of my age. While devastated at this news, I am taking heart and hope from the testimonies on this page that all will be well for us. We will get pregnant the old fashioned way – after a little help from Dr. Berger and his team. It certainly should be a heck of a lot more fun than what I just went through.

Thank you so much for your testimonial! I am 41 (turning 42 in October) and I have been debating about having TR for the past 3 years. I have my TL performed over 13 years ago. I have four children (3 boys and 1 girl ages 20-13); and like many other women, I never thought I would divorce and meet the man of my dreams. He does not have any children, but I know it is something he has been longing for. I am now hopeful that the surgery could be successful at my age. You have inspired me. Many blessings to you all.

Reading all the testimonials fills me with warmth and excitement. I am scheduled for my TR in July 2009. Am nervous and exicited because my hubsand doesn’t have any children and although he says it okay that I can not concieve, I feel differently. I want more than anything in this world to bear his child/children. I am 37 and my TL was done with a ring in 9/2001. I’ll keep everyone posted as I hope to be a source of encouragement for the next TR mom to be.

What an inspiration to read your story. I will be 46 in Sept. Had my fsh tested and it came back 2.9! Thats when I really beleived maybe my eggs werent to old yet -like all the other websites statistics and Dr. tell us they are at our age! Like many of you I already have 4 wonderful boys 26-11 yrs old and my fiance has none. I am torn between invtro and TR. I also want to experience getting pregnant the natural way not through invitro. I am so glad to see this post. I’m 45 yrs old and had my tubes tied (cauterized) 11 yrs ago after my third child was born. Same as Penni, the fertility clinic I went to would not perform the reversal because of my age. IVF is apparently my only solution. I’ve gone through all the hormone test (FSH, sonohystogram, etc.) and I was told that there’s follicles we can work with.

I have finally decided to go ahead with my original plan – to have my tubes reversed. My current partner doesn’t have any children while I had 3 with my first marriage. I would really love to have another child and I hope that someday, I can have another one. I am planning my reversal for September of this year.

This testimony was for me. My local OB GYN told me under no circumstances would he perform a reversal because of my age – 44!!! he told me to have in vitro and that was the end of the conversation.

In Vitro isn’t what I want, I want to experience the excitement and have my pregnancy be as natural as possible. I am planning to have my surgery within the next 6 months or so. I am excited already!!
