Essure can be reversed and pregnancy is possible after endometrial ablation if you are having regular periods.The recovery time is 1 to 2 weeks and insurance does not usually cover the procedure.

I had the essure process done less than six months ago, and Im getting ready to get married. We have 3 girls total between us but he wants one more child a boy of course. The doctor that did my procedures a thermo ablation and essure says that this cannot be reversed and I will never have children. Seeing this article made me very hopeful. I wonder if insurance will cover this procedure. if so I will be on the first plane to NC. How long is the healing process. and how long after can I start trying to have a baby.

This is so interesting to me, I was told by my surgeon when I had my tubes tied back in 1996 ( I was 23) that the procedure was not able to be reversed ever? Is this valid? Can all tubal ligations be reversed? I am 37 and engaged and regretting my decision that I made so young. So nice to find this web site and hear these great stories. Please advise?

Hi. I just had my tubal ligation 3 months ago already I regret it. I regreted it right away. I never did research on it and I felt pressure by my husband to do it.After my c section it was done I swelled up so bad and below my incision was purple. Since then my periods have been so heavy I soak a pad every 20 min I have severe pain on my sides. I have been to the ob/gyn they gave me an ultrasound no cysts. My question is then why the pain why the heavy bleeding. They did blood work on me and my hormone levels are fine. However they suggested the pill. Or the other option is to get a hysterectomy or uterine ablasion I think its a bit extreme being I am only 34. My question is are all these problems related to having a tubal. I also suffer from extreme hot flashes and then cold. Please help i would really appreciate some solid answers Thank you

I have been wanting to have another baby. Me and my kids dad are divorced and i am getting remarried and would love to have another baby but my tubes are cut burned and tied. Is there a chance I would be able to get it reversed?

Many people have the mistaken concept that tubes can not be reversed if they have been coagulated (burned). Although it is true if tubes have been extensively burned then they may not be repairable, most coagulation procedures are not that extensive.

I have been looking into having my tubes reversed; however the doctor that did it says they can't be reversed because they are cauterized and burned. Is it possible? Do we even have a chance or is he just being resistant?

MELI – As long as your diabetes is well controlled, it should not pose a significant risk in pregnancy. We don’t consider 37 to be “such a late age” – the average age of our tubal reversal patients is 34.

It excites me to read this successful stories. I am 37 and had my tubes tied @ 29. I have 2 boys (17 & 8) about to be remarried and would love nothing more than to have a little miracle in our lives to make it all complete. I am seriously contemplating this procedure. I am scared though because I have Type II Diabetes. Would that create a big risk in getting pregnant again at such a late age?

When doing a tubal reversal, does it matter how many years it has been since the tubal itself? My OBGyN told me that when I asked him about a reversal before, he said that if I didn't have any problems conceiving and carrying my babies to term (which I had no problems with either one) he recommended IVF since the chances of a reversal were slim, if not dangerous due to tubal pregnancies. Is this true? What would you recommend with cost and all?

I have a question for you concerning your tubal reversal. When you say you say clips is that the little clamps they put on the tubes? And you were still able to have it reversed and get pregnant? WOW! You have a gorgeous baby. My husband and I have been together 2 years and I want another baby more than anything in the world. So bad I can feel an ache in my heart when I think about it! Was the recovery after surgery painful? I have had three csection babies and after last had clips and burnt. And how soon did you get pregnant after surgery? And does it make your periods more painful?
