“Our healthy little miracle was born June 13th, 2008.. I’m 45 years old!”

Posted July 2nd, 2008
Our healthy little miracle, Olivia Grace, was born June 13th, 2008, weighing 8 lbs and 21 1/2 inches long. I want to make sure I mention that I’m 45 years old! I’m hoping this will give other women in their 40’s hope that it can happen.
We are so very blessed and I want to thank Dr. Berger and his staff for the care and attention I was given. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You all do make dreams come true.

I’m so encouraged by your testimony. My TR was done just 3 weeks ago. My husband and I are excited. We haven’t gotten a positive pregnancy test yet, but we know it’s going to happen soon. He keeps asking me “Are we pregant yet?” I told him to just relax and let it happen. I don’t want him to get frustrated because it will make me frustrated. I just want it to happen naturally and when we’re least expected. I have been testing my LH surge through an ovulation kit for the past week or so. Trying to find that perfect time to conceive. By way I’m 39 and my husband is 35. Please keep me posted on your new bundle of joy.
Thanks

Your story has given me hope that me and my husband can still have a child of our own. I was so undecided but now I see that I have to take the chance! I am going to be 44 years old and thought that we had no choices so thank you so much for sharing. I wish you and your family the best for the future.

Debbie, congratulations on your baby I’m so happy for you, she is a beautiful baby. You have given me the hope I need to have one of my own, I had my tubes tied 18 years ago when I was 24 years old I now want another baby with my husband. I know now that if you can do it I can too at age 43, so pray for me that we will be successful.
God Bless you!!!

Thank you so much for this post…I am 46 and my fiancee is 44. I have 3 sons from my previous marraige but he has never married and has no children. I have been putting this off for years. I had my tubes tied 8/2003 and regretted that decision because we started dating shortly after. This gives me hope that we too can have a child. Thank you again and God Bless you and your family.

HEY!! I am so happy for you!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I had my reversal in early January 08 and I will be 37 shortly. Since I haven’t gotten pregnant yet (and I have GREAT tube lengths), I was beginning to believe that my age was the culprit. Thanks for the ray of hope. I will keep you posted!

Congrats! on your baby. I am happy for you. Your story gave us hope. My gyn has been so negative saying we should adopt, try IVF and even said I don’t have good eggs. No test had even been done to come to that conclusion. This had me very discourage until I read your story. I am 40 and this is my 3rd marriage. I have 2 children from a previous marriage and my husband has a son from his 1st marriage. We have been marriage 5 yrs. He was my teenage sweetheart, I have known him for over 25 yrs and had seen him for 14 yrs. We both were going through a divorce at the same time. We believe GOD brought us back together. Our marriage is so wonderful. However, it feels a little empty without us having a child together. It is the one thing we feel that will finally complete our union. We are believing GOD for our chance to have a child together. Discovering Chapel Hill and reading your story. Have cause us to go forward in getting the T/R surgery. Thank you so much for sharing you story. GOD Bless you and your family

Dear Debbie,
God bless you and your family. I am so happy I found your story. I had my tubal ligation reversal last November and am now 45 years young. I have three healthy children from my first marriage. I married a man who has no children and is so excited about he and I having our very own miracle. Upon my reversal surgery, one of my tubes was completely mangled and could not be repaired. I have one good tube with 7.5 cm length and my uterus is perfect to carry a child. I am so inspired by your story. I know that it will only be a matter of a few short months before I can post my own exciting words her of my pregnancy. Please pray for me and I will for all of you that feel the same way. God will bless us soon as He has blessed so many families.

Dear Debbie,
Your story has given women over 40 hope to be able to conceive. My fiance and I want a child together. I have four of my own and he has no children. He is a lot younger than I. I was afraid I was too old to have the reversal. I am almost 43. I will be scheduling an appointment with Chapel Hill. Thank you for sharing. God Bless you and yours.

Dear Debbie,
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am 41 and have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren (+ one on the way). I am with an amazing man and we have talked about having our own child. He has a daughter that he just started seeing do to her mother disappearing when she was very young. She is 12 now. We have talked alot about what he has missed out on. I want so much to give him that. I had looked into reversal and told that it would be $10,000 or more. So, I decided not to do it. I had my tubal 19 years ago and wish I wouldn’t have. I hope that you will write me. I have so many questions and would love to have answers from someone in my age group who has had this reversal done with sucess. God Bless You and Your Family.
