Khanya Without knowing your medical history it is hard to give you any advice. It depends on if the tubal blockage is at the beginning or the ends of the tubes. If it is near the ends of the tubes (hydrosalpinx) then this can be opened. If it is at the beginning (proximal) part of the tube it may be tubal spasm (tubes are really open) or do to scar tissue from a prior infection (not correctable).

I have just done the HSG and the results confirmed that both my fallopian tubes are blocked. I have one kid and my world fell apart. My gynae said i can only do IVF as this is the only option open to me. He said the blockage is permanent and nothing can be one. Can you guys help? I live in South Africa and the costs are too much for me but I'm desperate. I did laparoscopy before HSG but that didn't help either. I'm 32 years, 5 months today.

I had a tubal done in 2003 although I’m not certain what kind i had. I believe they were cut & tied. I’m now 30 yrs old and married to the love of my life who has no kids! I never even knew this was an option! I’m so excited to know i may be able to have a baby with my husband! I have a 10 & 6 yr old now but I’m ready for a new addition. What are the chances I will be able to have a baby after the TR?
