Wow, has this been an exciting time! I now have 2 tubal reversal babies. My 1st was born just 11 months after the reversal and my 2nd born just 11 months after the 1st.

I had my tubal reversal on 1-24-06. Lucas Zander was born on 12-18-06 and Sophie Leigh was born on 11-15-07. They are both healthy and beautiful children.

I could never have had this much joy in my life without the help of Dr Berger and his staff so thank all of you for such a wonderful gift….the gift of LIFE!!!

Dr Berger,

Our TR miracle baby, Noah, was born January 2nd, 2008 at 3:33 pm at 6 pounds 8oz. He was exactly 3 weeks early. These photos were taken of him at one month old.

The time seems to be flying. Noah definitely keeps me busy, which is great since his daddy is deployed until December of this year.

Every time I look at him, I think of you and your staff at Chapel Hill who helped make him possible. I am truly humbled daily to have him in my life. (My husband Emil feels the same.) What an experience it was to go from not having children at all for five and a half years to feeling a life grow and move inside of me. It was amazing to feel that ability and gift restored to me again.

To feel alive again and whole again and to be able to have a child with my second husband of our own is the greatest gift and blessing I could have ever asked for.

Thanks to GOD, directing his will through your hands and skills and talents. You really are an amazing person. You personally take an interest in your patients that no other doctor I have known or had, has done. You clearly do what you do to bless others lives such as ours and many others.

Dear Dr. Berger,

We made the decision to have my tubal ligation reversed after 6 years of trying to adopt. We already had three children, but decided that we wanted more. I had my surgery with Dr. Berger in June of 2006. The staff was wonderful to us and Dr. Berger made me feel comfortable and informed.

In August of 2006 I did not experience a menstrual cycle and wondered if maybe the surgery had thrown my schedule off. By the time September came around I realized that I was pregnant and must have become so about two weeks after my surgery with Dr. Berger. I delivered a beautiful baby, Kylee, on April 9, 2007, nine months after my reversal surgery.

Thank you so much for helping us to have our precious little baby. We are thinking of having our fifth child - our second “Berger Baby” and making our family complete.

God bless you for providing me a way to conceive naturally after my tubal ligation. You are truly a gifted surgeon and it was a blessing to find you.

Dear Dr. Berger,

With all the women and families that pass through your doors I would never expect you to remember my family, so if I might take a moment to re-introduce ourselves.

Mark and I have been married for 21 years and have 3 TR babies. We came to Chapel Hill in 2000 for our tubal reversal and that became the most profound turning point in all our lives. Our children are Jess 20, Caitlin 18, Taylor 16, and two tr boys Jake and Joe who are 6 and 4. Rounding out the crew is our little miracle Zoey Grace. She came to us packaged slightly different then all the rest of the children, but no less of an amazing little miracle in so many ways.

Dr. Berger, you have given to my life and my family a gift beyond words. The boys are an absolute joy, but we think that Zoey is what God had planned for us all this time. We are embracing this child that we see as perfect. We know that some would be overwhelmed by the prospect and sheer reality of raising a child with special needs. However, we cannot wait to watch her grow as we grow along side her.

She came to us with Down syndrome. av canal heart defect, an intrauterine stroke, and transient leukemia. Her road has been long and at times incredibly unfair, but her strength and resiliency is what has carried us all. Today she is healthier then we could have ever hoped for. With her heart surgery behind her she is growing and thriving. Any effects of her stroke are barely noticed and we have been blessed to date that her blood disorder has not reappeared. We will however continue to have to follow closely her white blood counts for the next several years, and God willing that will not rear its ugly head. Please pray for her as she has seen her fair share already in her little life.

Our tr journey has actually just begun. My baby days may be over but the best is yet to come. I could never, ever thank you enough for the part you have played in our lives, and the awesome gifts of these three beautiful children you have given us all. I hope to one day see you again, in person, so you might meet these three children that have already made the world a better place. Until then, know you are never far from our hearts and part of our incredible story. Please see the attached photos of our family and see for yourself the beauty you had a part of creating. I am writing to inform you of the birth of our first child, Collin Adam, on January 7th, 2008. We had the reverse tubal done in October 2006. Dr. Berger was only able to repair one of my tubes due to scarring from prior surgeries that I had. We found out we were pregnant in April 2007, only 6 months after the procedure. First, let me begin by saying “thank you” to Dr. Berger and the entire staff at Chapel Hill. We had our tubal reversal on August 24, 2005. Our experience at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center was everything we had hoped it would be and more. We could not have been more impressed with the level of care and attention we received. In the end, the tubal reversal was just the first step in a long journey that included a number of loses and fertility support. It took a total of 22 months but we eventually succeeded in getting (and staying) pregnant.

Our daughter, Lydia Grace, was born on January 9, 2008. She is absolutely perfect and we couldn’t be happier. While we needed some extra help after the reversal I can say with absolute certainty that I have no regrets and would do it all over again.
